Tiala Taylor

Tiala Taylor was born and raised in Saint Charles, Missouri and respectively takes the city of Saint Louis as her stomping grounds. Heavily versed in stylistic training at a young age, she continued to add to her collective from praise dance and ballet to hip hop and musical theater.
Tiala is thrilled this year to join The Bailey Foundation’s, Hollywood Academy as Academy Dance Director. She is honored to receive the privilege of assisting the youth’s growth in artistry.
Coming from Lindenwood University under a BFA in Dance, with an emphasis in Contemporary; Tiala’s desire to expand in the dance world continues to grow. Her passion is displayed through her love for teaching and dance education. She enjoys the role of a regular instructor around her community, along with performing and choreographing frequently in studios, on dance teams, and for professional events. This diversity has made Tiala honored to experience performance art in many forms than just her intended degree.
Tiala has performed solo features on The Fabulous Fox Theatre stage as the 5th Annual Fox Teen Talent Winner, opened for Danileigh’s concert, traveled for hired events in LA for the BET Awards, and danced for Joyce Meyer Women’s Retreat. She’s performed for collectives such as: The Boston Contemporary Dance Festival under Tricia Zweier, led Unlabeled Dance Crew in Redbull Bracket Reel, choreographed her own collegiate work presented at American College Dance Association, and much more including; “A Brave and Startling Truth”, by the accredited Diana McIntyre, alongside former principle dancers of the Alvin Alley Dance Company; Alicia Graf, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, and Antonio Douthit-Boyd; as a company performer.
Tiala is more than elated to be a judge for the Preliminary Rounds and experience the showcase on the other side of the stage.
Well wishes to all participants!
