Name: Tony Pittman
School: Fort Zumwalt East High School
Talent: Dance
How long have you been performing and what inspired you to start?
I have been performing for almost 10 years and surprisingly the video game “Just Dance” inspired me to start performing.
How are you preparing for finals? Are you doing anything differently from your usual practices?
I have been stretching more, working more, just getting my body mentally and physically ready to perform the best I can.
What will performing on the Fox stage mean to you?
I struggle a lot with being confident when I am performing, so it is definitely a self-esteem booster knowing I am going to perform where so many other amazing people have performed.
Is there someone you look up to and draw influence from for your talent?
Parris Goebel is one of the biggest influencers I look up to she grew this world-known image of herself and has made her own studio performing the most amazing dances.
What has been the highlight of your performance career?
Competing. When I am on stage competing with the people I practice with for so long, it is like you are embracing what you love with your second family and it is the best feeling.
What do you hope to learn from your experience?
I hope to learn to try new things. I have always been a person who hates conventions or big events. But like Teen Talent I tried it and look at how far I got. It’s a really big achievement for me.
