Name: Hannah Stebe
School: Fort Zumwalt East High School
Talent: Dance
How long have you been performing and what inspired you to start?
There isn’t a time I don’t remember performing, everywhere we went was my stage and I loved making people smile. I dance as an escape not only for myself but to be an escape for the audience.
How are you preparing for finals? Are you doing anything differently from your usual practices?
Along with being a full-time senior and dancing at my studio around 4o hours a week, I am trying to find extra time to rehearse so I can perform at my absolute best.
What will performing on the Fox stage mean to you?
Performing on the Fox stage is a dream. Dancing and performing for others was the only thing I’ve ever wanted, and getting to perform on the stage that made me fall in love with musical theatre.
Is there someone you look up to and draw influence from for your talent?
Ms. Amy, my choreographer has had the biggest impact on my style for sure. Ms. Amy has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old. She has taught me so much not just about dance but how to be a good person.
What has been the highlight of your performance career?
Up until now, the highlight of my performance career is this past summer I was in On Your Feet at The Muny. This experience showed me that this is truly the place I belong, the stage.
What do you hope to learn from your experience?
I hope to learn more about myself, I hope to show myself that I can do this, and learn about how I react to stressful, but exciting environments.
