We recognize that creating and supporting a culture of inclusiveness is vital to the encouragement of growth, passion, and engagement of young performers and audiences.  We are committed to sustaining and improving programing and policies that are representative of and accessible to all whom we serve and work with. We pledge to be accountable for identifying and addressing inequities within our organization and within the performing arts organizations with which we collaborate. We acknowledge that the arts industries are continuously evolving to reflect values of equity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strive to remain attentive to how we may evolve and align with this mission.  We believe that artistic expression is at its most joyful when everyone feels welcome, safe, and seen.

To that end, we are committed to maintaining and/or implementing the following practices:

  • Recruiting, hiring, casting, and partnering with people and entities from a wide range of identities, backgrounds, and experiences to ensure there is representation of multiple perspectives in planning and executing programs and events.
  • Serving as an example of inclusion in our community by publicly standing behind these principles.
  • Providing appropriate resources and learning opportunities to those we employ, serve, and interact with.
  • Aligning programming choices and protocols with the principles of equity, inclusion, belonging, and creating a safe environment in which all feel valued and respected.
