Sharon Hunter
Sharon Hunter is the Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Moonstone Theatre Company. Sharon is the director of the critically acclaimed production of Proof by David Auburn for Moonstone Theatre. She is the host, writer and producer of the arts and entertainment podcast, Moonstone Connections, currently streaming on Spotify, SoundCloud, and iTunes. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the St. Louis Theatre Community Task Force. You last saw Sharon on stage as Karen in Jake’s Women For Moonstone Theatre. Sharon toured with the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis’s Imaginary Theatre Company. Some of Sharon’s favorite regional and NYC productions are The Picture of Dorian Gray, Bad Seed, The House of Bernarda Alba, Working, Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah and Falsettos. Sharon has directed Agatha Christie’s The Spider’s Web, A Trip to Bountiful, Hidden Beauty, Books Not Now, and worked as a producer/director and actor for the Estrogenius Festival at Manhattan Theatre Source for 5 years. Sharon performed her cabaret show, Play Me, in NYC at the Metropolitan Room, Don’t Tell Mama and the Triad and at The Monocle in St. Louis. Sharon is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Maryville University. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. Next up, Sharon will direct Dear Jack, Dear Louise by Ken Ludwig for New Jewish Theatre in June 2022.
